CTE Programming Offered:
Students at Roosevelt have the option to join one of the two CTE pathways. In addition to project-based learning coursework and the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications, Roosevelt Academy students will hear from guest speakers, participate in field trips to industry sites, and complete paid internships.

Business Management
From managing the books, to budgeting your money, to selling your products, this program of study is all about how you operate a business. Being a “boss” is a mix of having skills in a particular field, working hard, demonstrating leadership, and knowing how to manage a business. Business managers lead their own companies, large corporations, or manage teams and departments for important projects.

Culinary Arts
The Culinary Arts pathway exposes students to the exciting world of restaurants and hospitality careers. Students will learn fundamentals of cooking, sanitation and safety in the food service industry.

Certifications: ServSafe and ProSTART

Foreign Service & Diplomacy
Students in the Foreign Service and Diplomacy pathway will learn the knowledge and skills necessary for ever-evolving careers in foreign service and explore political science theories and careers.

Internship Opportunities: US Agency for International Development, U.S. Department of State, and Inter-American Development Bank

Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC)
JROTC provides student the motivation and skills to think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, work as a team member, graduate from high school, pursue meaningful careers especially in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and become successful citizens. As a JROTC Cadet, students embark on one of the most interesting and valuable educational experiences of their high school career. The program provides students with tools and skills they need to succeed in high school and in life after high school.
