CTE Programming Offered:
Students at Francis L. Cardozo Education Campus have the option to join one of six CTE pathways. In addition to project-based learning coursework and the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications, Cardozo Academy students will hear from guest speakers, participate in field trips to industry sites, and complete paid internships.
Computer & Information Technology (Computer Maintenance Technician)
Students in the Computer Maintenance pathway will develop skills in problem solving, research, and design while learning to develop technical solutions in a multitude of platforms and programming languages. The pathway will prepare them for careers in the following areas: programming, database administration, web design and administration, digital networks, and other areas in the expanding digital workplace.

Computer Science
Computer Science prepares students for career opportunities in an expanding computer science and digital workplace. Students will learn a diverse set of computational thinking concepts, fundamentals, and tools, allowing them to gain understanding and build confidence.

Culinary Arts
The Culinary Arts pathway emphasizes the principles of planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling the management of a variety of food service operations. The pathway features a blended coverage of culinary arts and management topics designed to build well-rounded skills for the workplace.

Engineering & Electro-Mechanical
Engineering & Electro-Mechanical answers an acute need for engineers in the US by educating high school students in the principles of engineering and providing exciting learning in the fields of electronics, aerospace, civil engineering, and architecture. The Project Lead the Way curriculum provides opportunities to apply science, technology, engineering, and math through project-based, hands-on courses.

Graphic Design & Illustration
The Graphic Design CTE pathway allows students to develop skills in problem solving, research, and design while learning to develop technical solutions in well-paid careers. Students are prepared for careers in programming, database administration, digital networks, animation, and web design.
Certifications: Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) – Illustrator, Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) – InDesign, and Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) – Photoshop
Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC)
JROTC provides student the motivation and skills to think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, work as a team member, graduate from high school, pursue meaningful careers especially in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and become successful citizens. As a JROTC Cadet, students embark on one of the most interesting and valuable educational experiences of their high school career. The program provides students with tools and skills they need to succeed in high school and in life after high school.
