In this course, students will be introduced to the power of programming with MIT Scratch, Carnegie Mellon Alice and Microsoft Kodu. Other programming languages will be introduced to encourage logical and systematic thinking through design, creation and innovation with the use of computer code.
This course is a gateway course to all information technology courses. This course provides an in-depth and dynamic program that develops broad-based Internet and computing skills. The purpose of the course is to provide students with the educational foundation to succeed in their high school courses requiring the use of technology.

To answer this question students trace how science has affected technology throughout history and learn about applied physics, chemical engineering and nanotechnology through exploratory STEM activities and projects.
